Meet Dr. Paul Kulits: Your Family’s Trusted & Caring Orthodontist

For Dr. Paul Kulits, orthodontics isn’t just about straightening teeth. It’s about empowering people, building confidence, and helping patients feel better about themselves. He’s proud to bring his passion, expertise, and a genuinely caring approach to families in the Everett area.

A Parent’s Perspective on Care

As a father of three children, Dr. Kulits understands the parent experience personally.

His approach to orthodontic care reflects the same thoughtfulness and care he would want for his own family.

His philosophy is simple:

  • Every child deserves a positive orthodontic experience
  • Parents should feel informed and confident in treatment decisions
  • Care should fit comfortably into busy family schedules

Three Decades of Trusted Expertise & National Recognition

With over 30 years of dedicated experience in his practice, Dr. Kulits has guided thousands of patients through their smile journeys with care, expertise, and a little bit of humor along the way. His exceptional history of success is best summarized by the trust placed in him: he is now proudly treating the second generation of patients—former kids who are returning with their own children for care.

Dr. Kulits is a distinguished Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). This voluntary certification signifies his commitment to going above and beyond the standard requirements, demonstrating clinical excellence and lifelong dedication to the highest standards of patient care.

His expertise is recognized far beyond the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Kulits serves on the masthead of the prestigious Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (JCO) as a Clinical Advisory Council Member. In this influential role, he provides expert opinion and feedback on clinical topics to help ensure the journal remains on the cutting edge of the specialty, reflecting the consensus of best practices for orthodontists nationwide. This distinction confirms his status as a subject matter expert in both tooth movement and guiding facial growth, providing a thoughtful, personalized treatment experience for patients of all ages.

Inspired by a Smile

Dr. Kulits’ interest in orthodontics began when he experienced braces himself as a teenager.

Seeing the transformation in his own smile—and the confidence it created—inspired him to pursue a career helping others experience the same change.

That early experience continues to shape the thoughtful, patient-centered care he provides today.

Leading the Field & Rooted in the Community

Dr. Kulits remains committed to advancing orthodontic care through continued education and collaboration with respected colleagues. Through organizations such as the Schulman Group, he works with leading orthodontists across the country to refine treatment approaches and stay at the forefront of the specialty.

At the same time, he remains deeply connected to the local community. Dr. Kulits and his wife Andrea support organizations throughout Everett, Arlington, and Snohomish County, including:

  • Everett Children’s Museum
  • Everett Village Theater KidStage
  • Everett Education Foundation
  • Everett Youth Soccer
  • Everett Lacrosse
  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Camp Fire Snohomish County
  • Arlington Relay for Life
  • Arlington Rotary Duck Dash
  • Arlington Education Foundation Santa Breakfast

They also support local schools by donating to auctions, sponsoring theater programs, and cheering on local athletics including the Everett Lacrosse Club.

Outside the office, Dr. Kulits enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea, their family, and their three children—whom he is incredibly proud of. He is deeply connected to the community he serves and enjoys exploring all the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A longtime supporter of youth sports, he has been involved as a spectator, sponsor, and coach, valuing the lessons teamwork, discipline, and encouragement bring to young people and families.

He is also an active member of the Seattle Latvian Choir and had the memorable experience of performing in a Latvian Song Festival in Riga alongside more than 14,000 singers—an experience that reflects his appreciation for culture, community, and shared tradition.
